Worst management ever — still haven't received my security deposit many months later and will be pursuing legal action. don't even get me started with the issues within the apartment too. ignore!

Worst rental experience since arriving in New York ten years ago. terrible communication, rarely fix any problems you address and still haven't returned my security deposit five months later. I'm taking legal action. ignore this management

This company is ridiculous. First they gave the person I was taking over for several issues before he could leave. Next when they required me to sign the lease there were several errors which took them 5 months to fix, it wasn't fixed until I was almost ready to move out. They never responded to problems in the apartment, or it took them several days. They did not remember to send us back the deposit then tried to claim money from it when it was well past the time they could do so.

WORST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT I'VE EVER. We've had so many issues from not having electric gas for almost a month!! bc they wouldn't check our meter numbers and having roaches. they ignore their tenants!!

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. They don't respond to you and when they do, they defer responsibility for things like fixing the trash shoot (which has been broken for months and now we have a roach infestation which they aren't dealing with either even though i've called everyday for a week). They also left me without electricity and gas for a month because they were too lazy to go and check the meter numbers. THE WORST!!! AND THEYRE SO RUDE.

YNS is awful. Rude petty sketchy predatory and comfortable lying to prospective tenants. Extremely rude. We’re in a 1 bedroom paying for 2… My landlord is in bed with the office so it’s like dealing with the same person over and over. It’s hard to find anybody if there is a problem and if you do reach them the likelihood of getting help or answers is slim. Discriminatory and UNPROFESSIONAL AS POSSIBLE. VERY PETTY, EGO DRIVEN COLLECTIVE. I just hope nobody ever trusts them with their home again.

Take your hard earned money elsewhere

There's so many things wrong and 500 characters is not enough. Apartments are spacious but don't let that fool you. Rats and roaches galore - which management blames on the tenants. Decrepit exterior. Dirty interior. Stolen packages. Floods. Only quick fixes. Overall, awful response about the above from management. Save yourself from this ongoing nightmare.

Awful management. I need more than 500 characters to list the problems with the building and the terrible ways the management and their service people have handled it. Rats, roaches, beetles, flooding, mold and no heat in the winter. The super insults me, plumber hits on me, landlord gas lights me. I have called 311 repeatedly. Its only been 6 months, I regret moving in.

Absolutely awful

Do not rent from YNS. No one did a lick of work to restore the apartment after the previous tenants moved out and they had an entire month to do so. The fridge and freezer were full of some horrifying gunk that took hours to clean out and none of the walls had been even spot repainted. They masquarade as a “professional” management company and do less than the bare minimum. The only time they will do anything is when you threaten to report them. Within a week of living there I discovered that an animal was nesting in my wall. The only reason it got fixed was because I threatened to call 311 and even then the super did a trash job that ended up caving in a couple months later and bugs started getting in through the gaps. When they “repaired” it a second time there were still gaps in the window when I moved out. For the first SIX MONTHS out of a year lease we had a leaky roof with drywall falling down from the ceiling and they kept giving excuses about having to wait to see if it could be fixed. When they did bother to show up, it was without any planning or warning so we couldnt even arrange to have someone home half the time. They blamed this on us. After doing a half assed job the first time the ceiling started leaking AGAIN and WORSE than the first time they tried to tell us they had already fixed it even when we sent photos and video to show the leak. Getting them to communicate on paper was like pulling teeth and were completely unprofessional during the moving process. The door to my apartment broke and they refused to reimburse for it. And that’s just the highlights of renting from them. They also are definitely doing some kind of fraud with the rent. I will be filing an overcharge and I encourage anyone currently living in their units to do the same.

Very bad management

Horrid management. Moving in was a nightmare with them, and the apartment had broken appliances, broken doors, and the roof leaked (flooded our apartment the first rain we had). Impossible to contact. Showed up unannounced and entered the apartment without our consent.

Horrible management

I had issues with rats in the apartment but the building manager didn’t think was a big deal, sent an exterminator company that didn’t even had an uniforms and didn’t speak English correct. The exterminator put some poison that made it worse and did not kill any rats. Finally after a lot of texts and calls, they came back a week later to close the hole. Very unprofessional service and we never received a phone call from the building manager to explain the rats issue in the apartment and in the building.

YNS Management is a Fraud Operation

YNS Management is a fraudulent operation. I have lived in one of their properties for a year. The only service calls I had were when I first moved in - there was an outlet hanging out of the wall with wires exposed, the smoke detectors were not installed, the faucet was leaky, and there was rotting food left in the cabinets. I can barely call what they did with the electric outlet a repair (photo attached) - it is still partially out of the wall but the property manager said it was the best they could do. They installed the smoke detector but left grease stains and black finger prints on the ceiling. When they needed to open up the walls in the bathroom they never returned to return the wall to a normal condition. They contacted me two months out from when my lease was ending and offered me a renewal. Over the course of the subsequent weeks I called and emailed repeatedly regarding the lease renewal with no response from YNS Management - until a little under three weeks from the end of my lease. At that point YNS Management emailed me to inform that they needed the unit vacated but had other units they might be able to offer me. They provided no reason for needing the unit vacated on such incredibly short notice, after offering me a lease renewal weeks earlier, and have not provided a reason to this day. As they offered me other units, it is evident there was no issue with me as a tenant - my rent was never late and I made 0 service calls after the initial issues. Imagine being kicked out of your home with only a couple weeks notice? I requested a relocation fee and YNS Management has not even had the decency to respond to me - at this point I'm wondering whether they understand that there is a reply button when you receive an email. This company is a fraudulent operation with no concern for its tenants.
