Yamit is a disingenuous person who seeks to take advantage of those that live at her properties. When I found this out, she treated my roommate and I even worse and even threatened us with random “inspection”. She allows anybody working for her to enter tenants residences with zero warning at all, let alone 24 hours. She refuses to fix issues in the apartment, unless they are of imminent danger. Even then, I had to deal with a leak in my apartment for over a month due to their idleness.
Yamit will put off repairs for months and lie to cover her tracks constantly. She will send people into your apartment when you are home and not tell you they were there. She is rude and has been verbally abusive and threatening on occasion to multiple people.
Literally the worst landlord you could ask for. Did not fix the laundry so we had to go back home to do it. Did not address any problems til we threatened to sue. Paint plastered over dirt, there's mold, the entire apartment complex is a safety hazard and there's no security system at all... she was not clear enough ab things in the lease so double check it carefully
I had a really good experience living at rent at Temple with Yamit as my landlord. She was very fair with me, and understanding about me not having all the money to move in upfront and we worked out a payment plan. When I was having issues with my old roommates she helped me move into my own apartment within the same network (rent at temple). Anytime that there was a maintenance issue, they always came out within one day. The building was clean and I felt safe living there.
One year lease, no issues. Everything went as expected. Got partial deposit back since I did leave some of my items in the unit due to west coast relocation. I recommend Yamit Haba as landlord/ property manager. She was easy and professional.
Got fired during COVID, Yamit let me stay until I found a new job, never asked for late fees and came up with a payment plan. Other tenants same situation had the same treatment from her! Very kind and caring. Had a great experience with her and would recommend her!
My son lived in a wonderful Rent at Temple apartment with two roommates for three years. They had the time of their lives. Could not have been a better residence to spend three college years. As a parent, I was so thrilled and pleased to have Yamit as landlord for my son. Only complaint, had to mail checks like 1983! But finally, finally, she started Venmo as my son goes out the door, lol. Yamit is good, you'll be lucky to have her as landlord.
Yamit is kind, communicable, and understanding. She reciprocates respect well, and is willing to listen to your concerns. Throughout our lease terms, she has continued to show concern for her tenants despite her large tenant directory. Highly recommend maintaining good communication, and you won't regret it.
Yamit played the fck out of me lol. I was in college renting in Temple area and moved into 2037 N Cleveland Street (yes I’m putting the address out there). All the appliances were new and walls painted—looked nice from afar. It was painted sht. Rotting from the inside out. First issue was roaches. Lots of roaches. Yamit never sent an actual exterminator, just her brother and random dude named Tarzan. And always unannounced. They would just walk in whenever. They sprayed stuff in the backyard. Nothing helped until I bought Advion on Amazon, I fixed the issue myself (that stuff works). Then the flooding started. We had a finished basement with a full bathroom, washer and dryer. Every time it rained it flooded, and disgusting sewage would get backed up out of the tub. The bottom perimeter of the walls started rotting from the water. Sent the same two clueless dudes over to literally just mop dirty water around and call it a day. This continued forever. We had a cat with a litter box down there and had to keep her out so she didn’t get sick. It was just disgusting and no one gave a fck. Yamit just used us as a cash cow to fund her canned la colombe coffee stash and overpriced fish tank. Then she took more than half my security deposit for bull reasons when we couldn’t even use the basement on a lease we were paying for. Slumlord thief. Fck this woman, and fck her two shady dudes Yotam and Tarzan.
Yama Haba is an unfit human being. She exploits poor college students taking their money and falsifying evidence of damage to justify keeping their security deposit. We just took her to court and won to recoup our security deposit after a truly horrible rental experience. Please, no matter how convenient or attractive her properties are I guarantee it is not worth it to rent from her. She will screw you over no matter what!
Yamit Haba or Yamit Reem whichever she is calling herself now, exploits young people for her own greed. DO NOT RENT/BUY/SELL Anything from this person. She is exploiting the US/Philadelphia system especially vulnerable students. Demands Rent in cash or check (I suspect she is avoiding paying taxes), ignores any and all issues, uses her family to fix (?) everything and they have no idea what they are doing. And her brother or cousin or whoever he is will enter your apartment without notice even if the apartment is occupied by young women. This person is a b ad example of foreigners coming to our country and exploiting it for their own personal gain.
The place was listed on Craigslist and was a bit dirty when we saw it, but we liked it so we asked if she could clean it before we moved in. Move in day the place was EXACTLY the same, down to the random book on the kitchen table. Her FAMILY came to clean the place (including her brothers and elderly mom). So We couldn’t move in on moving day. When winter came, the heat didn’t work and when we asked to get this fixed, she put space heaters in the bedroom and called that the resolution. Also when we called to get utilities in our name, the city had no record of the apartment existing. Needless to say it is now condemned and not livable. The city helped with that one. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE IN JAIL.
Yameet did not set up Wifi until our third month in the apartment (We asked weekly). We cleaned the apartment and left it in better shape then when we moved in and only recieved half of our security deposit back. Her brothers and workers would come in the apartment with no heads up and I'm pretty sure entered when we weren't there. There was mold that was painted over in both bedrooms and bathroom. There were multiple mice as well. She was the worst landlord you could ever imagine and I would look elsewhere.
Yamit would not respond to our emails and calls until days after. She left holes in our ceiling for over a year after their was a leak inthe bathroom above. She put off calling an exterminator for months and never had a professional company come. She allowed her employees to enter our unit without ever contacting us. Lastly, she never returned our security deposit until we took her to court 3 months after handing in our keys. She is completely incompetent and expects her tenants to pay for all of the maintenance on her properties. She will lie to you about everything and never be on time. She just makes up damages and thinks she can deduct any amount she chooses from your security deposit. Don't be afraid to take her to court, you will definitely win.
Very unresponsive. Is a strong businesswoman who handles herself well, apart from when she's dealing with college students. She doesn't believe anything that comes out of your mouth. Works with family and if one tells you something, she decides to always act against that because again, it's her way or the high way. Very disrespectful, will hang up on you. Only wants money, the rest is up to you to deal with. Late with all appointments/fixes.
