Where to begin with these guys... First met the man who 'managed' maintenance for the property (or rarely tried to, I should say) and discussed the lease. When it came to signing the lease and submitting a security deposit + first/last month's rent, we were asked to make the checks out to the actual landlord posted here (which was unbeknownst to us at the time)... Maintenance person still pretends he is the landlord and will not tell tenants until asked to write checks (I have friends who live there now despite my warnings).
Living here was ok... always had problems that took way too long to fix, whether it was plumbing, leaks in the roof from rain, pests, or simply changing locks. No security system in the house, just nails above the windows to 'prevent them from opening too much'. Was rarely given outlined notice in the lease (24 hours) before maintenance came to the property.
As far as the landlord goes, it was (and still is) impossible to get a hold of him. We were denied his phone number when we first moved in... what does that tell you? After several attempts, we received contact info but this barely made a difference. It took us months to actually meet the landlord in person after we moved in and probably would see him twice a year (but only when we complained about issues or made several attempts to get him to come meet with us).
I cannot stress enough the unorganized and careless nature of the 'management' of this property. I moved out 3 months ago and I'm still waiting for a return of my security deposit. Unless you are absolutely desperate, DO NOT live here or at any property owned by these people.
