This review is for the landlords in unit 1E in ASTI Condominiums at 25-14 31st Ave, #1E, Astoria NY 11106. The landlords names are Rethinasamy (Kit) & Vasantha Kittappa. PLEASE, I am begging you, do not rent from these people. My lease said I was legally allowed to sublet my apartment, and they hired a lawyer to block me from subletting, costing me thousands of dollars to protect myself, when all I was doing what was within my legal rights. They are disgusting people, emotionally abusive, and if you care about your quality of life, PLEASE RUN if you see their names. They have several properties in addition to this one, so please, do not rent from them. The apartment was *****/disgusting when I first moved in. There wasn't even running water out of the kitchen sink! There were so many issues with the unit, and on top of it, to have them crazy and abusive was really the cherry on top. Please run, they will ruin your life. They sent abusive nasty emails, broke so many clauses in the lease we ALL signed, they picked and chose what parts of the lease they wanted to follow and lied more times than I can count. They BROKE into the apartment without our knowledge or consent. They are disgusting people and hired a lawyer to stop us from subletting when it was within our legal rights. They are disgusting people!! STAY AWAY!!! If you care about your quality of life, run away from renting from them!!!!
