I am rather reticent to dish out negative ratings about anything, but I feel the need to say a word or two about my experience when I leased a room in this house. The house itself is alright - a touch dilapidated, and monthly maintenance requests are not uncommon. My roommates were superb, as well. However, I have an axe to grind with the leasing company, Trimark, and the landlord in particular. He is been seriously irresponsible in his duties as a landlord. First, he failed to mention that power and electricity was not included with the bimonthly "utilities" which, turns out, really just means water. Trimark then neglected to update the names of the new tenants (us) when we moved in, so Seattle City Light obliviously continued billing the previous tenants their utilities bills... for nine months. It took our landlord, and Trimark, nine months to figure out that they needed to update their tenant roster. So, one blissful spring day we received a thousand dollar electricity bill that we had no clue we were supposed to be taking care of all along. It absolutely sucked. The real kicker came when we questioned our landlord about it and he plead ignorance, saying he didn't know anything about it. So, to summarize, expect some unpleasant surprises during your time leasing with Trimark Housing.
