Mr. Kim did not get the required inspection of the home when he purchased the property. His real estate agent talked him out of doing so. When I moved in....he didn’t do a walk-through with me (At All). He took my money, had me to review a hotspot checklist to make sure all was well. Then he left. A week later the air conditioning unit had to be replaced. It took a little time but he replaced it. The kitchen sink had a huge leak. So much so that it nearly dry-rotted the wood of the cabinet and seeped our on to the carpet in the living room. He also doesn’t know what a 5-day grace period is. Fast forward to recent. I’m moving at the end of my lease and he comes over to look at the place in order to give me my deposit back. He does a full FBI investigation with a flashlight and fine-tooth comb. He starts to site things that were there when I moved in. He asks for remotes to fans that he never gave. Here is the kicker...he goes to my daughter’s bathroom and begins to bounce on a 6-inch spot (that runs parallel to the tub), where the tile meets the tub. It gives about a 1/4 of an inch. He denies my deposit pending a professional stating the the cause was. His response was that my daughter abused taking a bath. The floor was week from too much weight of a person constantly getting in and out of the tub. My daughter weighs 160 pounds. So, I said to him. “You’re keeping my deposit because she stood on the floor?” My daughter states that the floor has been weak there since we moved in. Had he done a thorough inspection when we came in, like he did when we were leaving, he would have seen that as well. There’s more but I think you get the gist.
