The landlord runs a daycare during the day, and so it routinely will have children dropped off as early as 6am every weekday, and picked up around 5pm. The neighbor next door also runs a daycare, so noise and parking availability is one of the biggest concerns. The landlord treats tenants as if they are children - refusing to negotiate or being reasonable in compromises, and the use of negative reinforcements like taking away privileges. She makes sure that her daycare business comes first, which means a lot of hidden fees like TB tests and additional background checks will not be mentioned upon sign in, and will ask us to help her as a favor. She expects us to follow a set of rules such as cleaning the house and shared space with her business, but will be hypocritical in the lack of cleaning of the kitchen, the bathroom and the common space. She allows overnight guests, but have routinely abused the rule by allowing her mom, her boyfriend, her sisters and their kids to stay over. The respecting of other people could be improved, and it’s a family space where the individual will be reminded that they do not belong in the house.
