My family stayed at Radius Apartments Seattle from December 2020 to January 2022. During our stay, the staffs are friendly, and we had kept our unit clean and all payment on-time. Our overall stay at Radius was good. However, there was an unexpected charge after we moved out. When we moved out, we had one of the staff to do the move-out inspection with us, and at that time we took numerous pictures just to make sure that we returned the unit as the way we moved in. Even the staff said that she haven't seen tenant keeping the unit so clean and organized, and she think that we may only been charged from some painting touch-ups, and the last half month utility bill. Okay....more than half year after we moved out, I had suddenly received an email from Radius saying that we still owed them money. In the statement, after our $300 deposit being kept by Radius, They claimed that we still owe Radius almost $730 dollars. Where does the charge come from? As I looked closely, Radius charged us $480 for painting touch-up, and Utility bill for $580. We had kept the unit VERY CLEAN, I even cleaned the wall when we moved out. If it's just a touch-up paint, why $500? We moved out in the middle of January, and for 14 days, how can the utility bill cost $580 (our regular utility bill at Radius was around $200-$250/month)? Furthermore, why Radius sent us an email statement instead of letter statement after half a year, which by law Radius should provide move-out statement to all move-out tenant within 21 days? We were shock when we got the email statement, and find this situation ridiculous. I am writing this email in hope that All Current and Future Tenants can be aware of this!
