Pete wants to fix everything himself but doesn't like to spend money. My kitchen sink has been leaking since before he fixed it over 1 year ago when he proclaimed the leak was fixed. He wrote roof maintenance in the lease agreement. This is a house, and while cleaning gutters isn't extremely difficult, do you want your tenants at risk of falling? On the roof of YOUR house to clean it? Seems stupid. The final straw was a text message toward the end of September that he was raising the rent by $400 in November. Great notice Pete. I would say that if the house was kept well, if things worked, if Pete did what he promised like putting up a fence, I might have paid him but he did none of those things and was rude on top of that. I would not recommend putting yourself in this situation.
