Frequently had to wait over three weeks for maintenance tickets to get a response. Everything was somehow my fault. Ruined the carpet during a repair, most likely will be told it's my fault when I move out.
No one should ever give them money.
Easily let us switch from one unit to a bigger one
The apartment is poorly built because everything breaks!!!!
Not sure if it's ocf's choice but the work is unbelievably shoddy.
We thought we had found the perfect place, but the problems we encountered mixed with the horrible service turned this lease into a nightmare.
Third floor bathroom wasn't finished on move in (took 2 more months) despite the promise that it would, landlords never answered calls or emails, they were rude, and had horrible negotiations with us.
Refused to change my locks after a robbery and threatened me for complaining.
Absolutely horrible place. Can't wait until my lease is up!
This company blows. They do whatever they can to get you into a place and then never fix anything and try to hold your security. Whole company is a scam.
Never follow through on anything they say. When we moved in the house had all kinds of scratches in the floor and old holes that had been painted over. Now when we move out they try to say that the damage is from us even though they noted it before we ever moved in. Took them 4 months to install our smoke alarms after moving in. Had a leak that got so bad a 3' x 3' square of our ceiling fell in (this was about 6 weeks after notifying them the ceiling had started leaking). The heating system never worked and our apartment got all the way down to 35 degrees. They sent out numerous HVAC techs who all said it was broken and needed to be replaced, but they wanted to, "shop around". They would avoid calls and emails. I'm sure there are many other things I am forgetting, to sum it up the experience was terrible.
Overpriced apt( we accepted that moving in but they victimize college aged kids) had to call them many times to fix issues when we moved in one of our basement windows was broken and it took them weeks to repair it, we lived in the middle of point breeze they would send people there with keys to our house without giving us notice they charged us for our water bill which isnt even legal they kept all of our deposit to spite us leaving the place in better condition then when we moved in through the moving in and out process their communication was terrible they were always late to meet with us and to meet with other renters, we ended up showing the house for them almost every time they had people come.
Overall they were a good landlord. They were responsive, and when our heat broke, they had 2 space heaters at our door within hours. That said, they tried to cheat us out of most of our deposit and bill us for many issues that the previous tenant had done. They seem to have "forgotten" the condition that they provided the apartment in. Solid landlord while living there, but beware of your deposit. Take lots of photos when you move in.
