Mitch was always responsive to house issues. When the basement had water issues during a rainstorm, he had his crew out there in under 2 hours! Definitely recommended.
Mitch was great!
Mitch is a good guy! Nothing bad to say about him.
Mitch is a great landlord. My daughter and her roommates have been renting from Mitch for the past 2 years. He has always responded in a fast and nice manner when notified of issues with the house. He is respectful and responsive to his renters and really does treat the college age renters as if they were his own children. I would recommend, and have done so, Mitch as a landlord. GREAT GUY!
Mitchell responded to all of my concerns within 24 hrs via text or phone call and made sure that all concerns were addressed and fixed promptly.
Mitch was a great landlord. When we first moved in, there were a couple of issues from previous tenants that Mitch took care of right away. Whenever an issue or question arose, he responded very promptly and sent someone over or came over himself to address it. He was never intrusive. When we needed to end our lease slightly early because of a job change, Mitch was completely understanding and was willing to work with us provided we help find a replacement tenant. He was personable and professional.
Mitch was a great Landlord. He is very responsive and easy to work with. In a perfect world, there will never be any issues in the apartment, but we don't live in a perfect world. Anytime an issue arose (which wasn't often), Mitch responded in <12hrs and always sought to completely resolve the issue. Always friendly and respectful. We were pressed with time upon move out and was unable to deep clean our oven in the Kitchen. Aware of our situation, he offered to take care of it for us w/out charge. We only left the unit because it was time for a bigger space. I would have enjoyed having him as a landlord at our next rental property. We received out entire security deposit after living in the unit for 2 years.
Mitch is a very non-intrusive landlord. He plays by the rules and trusts his tenants will give him the same respect he gives them, and he deserves it. Any issue gets an immediate response and a quick resolution, and that's that.
Mitch is a professional, old-school landlord. Very friendly, easy to talk to, and always quick to respond when issues came up. Mitch was considerate of our time and worked with us to schedule showings of our apartment that accommodated our toddler's nap schedule.
The only reason Mitch is not my landlord anymore is because I needed 2 bedrooms. Best landlord I have ever had. The apartment my girlfriend and I rented from Mitch is located right next door to his office, so you could imagine we ran into each other quite a bit. Mitch always greeted us with a smile and some friendly words. Even when we told him the washer and dryer unit was smoking and ended up needing to be replaced, he took it in stride and replaced the unit the next day. He even offered me a part-time job when I told him I would be laid off work. Working for him, I found that he never ignored a phone call and always treated his tenants fairly. Thanks Mitch PS my new landlord sucks!
I recommend Mitch Ripkin because he is the perfect balance of professionalism, business, and family. He is direct and to the point without being offensive or unfair. He explains his process and rationale. He listens when the tenants explain theirs. We've never had a problem after over 3 years. Anyone who disagrees is either not being honest or realistic about why they have not had a great experience with Mr. Ripkin.
Mitch was very helpful in the moving process, and made moving easy. He is very understanding, attentive, and responsive. Every interaction I had with him was polite and helpful. Mitch cares about the property and his tenants. I would definitely recommend him as a landlord!
When we moved in, Mitch had just had knee surgery and was unable to fix everything in our apartment before we moved in. I did some cleaning of the back yard and told Mitch what I had to do. Before I could get another word out, he offered me $100 for my troubles and asked if there was anything else he could do or fix. Unheard of! One time I called Mitch at 6:00pm on New Years Eve because we were having trouble with our lock. He was on his way home to celebrate New Years, but without hesitation turned around and came over to fix our lock. He could have gotten around to it later, but he said his conscious would feel better if he handled it then.
Do not get involved with this piece of shit.
I definitely recommend Mitch as a landlord! He is very on top of things and reasonable, which I really appreciate. So far my experience has been really good! Any problem I have with anything in the apartment or any suggestions I have pertaining to the property are received very respectfully and openly and are taken care of promptly. He has been helpful every step of the way, from when I inquired about the apartment, to this day. He is very chill and allows me to dog sit and paint the apartment. He is a very flexible and reasonable man. He and the neighbors are very kind as well and recently he took the time to call to check on me because a neighbor called about my trunk being open. This is just one example of Mitch really going above and beyond any other landlord I have had in the past.
I have been living in one of Mitch's houses for 8 months now and he responds to every one of my needs without hesitation. For example, this morning I called him because my shower head has not had a lot of pressure and I wanted to see if I should change up the shower head or if it was a plumbing issue. He said that he would take care of it today and just a few hours later had a new shower head in hand at my door. It is now installed and the water pressure is amazing. Thanks Mitch!
Mitch would also from time to time give us less than 24 hours before he would enter the house. We tried to remain optimistic about our relationship with our landlord, but after moving out it was clear that he left a bad taste in our mouths. Difficult to get in contact with initially and even more difficult to talk to once you finally got his attention. I always had the feeling that he would end up screwing us over, and in the end he did. Subtracting hundreds of dollars from a security deposit for things that were clearly not our doing. The fact that the same leak still existed when we left the house as when we moved in basically sums up the entire experience.
Just want to give my landlord mr mitch a shout out thank you so much for your patience with me through my struggle. be
Have rented through Mitch for over a year, and he's been very responsive and helpful with anything that I bring up. For instance, yesterday evening our air conditioning stopped working, and he fixed it during the day today so that it was cool when I got home from work!
In a city full of bad landlords and I had several, Mitch was a breath of fresh air! He manages very nice apartments that are well priced and he's very responsive and attentive. Easily the best landlord I ever had in my 11 years living in Philly. I would highly recommend Mitch to anyone looking for a great landlord. He restored my faith in apartment renting in the city.
