The worst landlord I’ve ever had. Do NOT rent from him, ever. He will never fix anything, overcharge, and unjustly keep your security deposit. The apartment was better off when I left than it was when I got there, and he still kept mine, after saying he sent it in the mail to delay us from filing a lawsuit. He never sent it. The apartment was filthy and disgusting when I moved in, and clean when I left. I had a horrible experience with him. I would never rent from him again.

The apartment is located in a nice area ...
The apartment is located in a nice area of Nashville. The apartment is nice itself, but not well-maintained. Upon move in last July, the unit was filthy- hair in tub, old soap in dish, countertops and bathtub black with filth, microwave disgusting, countertops and baseboards filthy and grimy, toilets filthy, thick layer of dust on blinds. It had not been cleaned. We cleaned most of it ourselves. The maids did a quick once-over. We were charged a 300 non refundable cleaning fee. I suppose the last tenants were too. There was a roach infestation in October/November requiring extermination. Large dead roaches were everywhere. Very gross. The landlord ignores texts, emails, phone calls.. He refuses to give the security deposit back to us, with no reason. The apartment was left in better condition upon move- out than move-in. He responded to a text and said he sent the deposit nearly 3 weeks ago, but he didn’t. A leaky toilet resulted in a very expensive water bill. We’d requested this toilet to be fixed countless times. Utilities aren’t included. It’s a safe area. It’s a large apartment. It has a washer and dryer, dishwasher and microwave. But I would never rent here again or rent from this landlord again. The rent was 2000.00 - I split with a roommate, so it was 1000.00. There’s a 300 non refundable cleaning fee. The security deposit was 775.00 per roommate. It’s supposed to be returned within 30 days, but it hasn’t been going on nearly 60 days now.
