Mark Zwick was an unresponsive and irresponsible landlord. He allows tenants to move into filthy units and makes them pay out of pocket for the cleaning costs of the messes left by previous tenants. He was unresponsive when the unit was broken into, flooded, and when 35+ year old appliances broken due to normal wear and tear. He ignores pest and mold issues. Did not send us a single water bill to pay during my lease and kept 100% of the security deposit because of his failure to communicate.

We called, he responded. Did not see him very often as he sent workers to the house to handle repairs. Was easy to pay rent electronically. Had no issues with him and even recommended some friends for some other properties in the area

He’s pretty good. Haven’t had any real problems. Doesn’t come to the house.

I have read some of the reviews on this site. I had a good experience as he was responsive to service requests, and generally did not bother us.

Mark held onto security deposit and last month’s rent, and when it was accidentally sent again in the final month of lease, kept that as well. Claimed damages despite having a positive walkthrough, when any issues were from contractors well after we moved out. Just looking to exploit naive college kids. He never did anything about any of the “punch-it list” items from beginning of lease either. Wouldn’t recommend.

Mark zwick hired me to resolve a plumbing problem at one of his properties, after 3 days of work (by a licensed plumber) he refused to pay a single dollar. I will be taking him to court.

This is an unscrupulous landlord. He has TERRIBLE accounting of rent and will try to shake you down for more than you owe. Even after a year, he is still trying to get money, without reading any documentation that was sent over to rectify his accounting. He will try to shake you down for repairs that are being done on his other rentals. He will be taken to court at some point, I believe -- and endangers all that will rent from him. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM HIM!

Mark is an ok landlord at best.... The house was old and when we moved in we were promised that the house would be cleaned and repainted. This did not happen. The carpets were disgusting and walls un painted. We also had mice issues. It was not a full blown out issue but they were present often and more than anyone would want. Mark tried to not give us back some of our security deposit claiming that we damaged the walls but we had pictures of everything from the day we moved in so after some back and forth we had gotten everything back. Overall the house was ok... When our dish washer broke it took two months to get it fixed. It was not the worst experience but was a headache at times.

mark can be nice and will respond to you in a timely manner but will not address any issues you bring up unless you force him to. when we moved in our fridge had bugs living in it, he didn't do anything until we showed him video evidence of things not freezing and even accused us of lying. says he has steam cleaned our carpet that reeks of ***** but everyone who has seen it agrees that has never happened. thats only some of the trouble we've had here but overall he does not care about his properties (he only began cleaning ours a few days before our move in date) or his tenants and feels his properties are still worth the same prices as the nice ones in the same area. he cuts any corners he can; a homeless man who roams our block admits our landlord hired him to paint our house; many of the outlets are painted over and different paints are mixed. a good thing is that you do get a lot of freedom since he is so hands off, but if you choose to rent from him be careful and smart
