Lenny is not a good landlord. Similar to the other comments, he was very unresponsive and when he did answer he had the biggest attitude ever. He would tell us to talk to the property manager Emily, not him. Emily would never answer either! We had no heat for days and they did not answer, we had leaks from the ceiling, they did not answer. We had a mice infestation and they were being cheap and didn’t want to send out an exterminator. They kept sending their maintence man who did not solve our problem. Eventually, they got us an exterminator. It was a very nice property with large rooms but the landlord and property manager didn’t care about us or the property. We received our security deposit, but we had to fight for it.
Lenny is the worst landlord ever. Homeline Realestate has always been terrible at responding to our maintenance requests. In January we went 6 days without heat and they did absolutely nothing about it, we had to use our own space heaters and then pay for a ridiculously high heating bill. Trying to talk to Lenny is absolutely useless because he interrupts every sentence you say because he thinks he knows everything and then will call you disrespectful for trying to finish your sentence. Do not do business with Lenny or with homeline realestate, you are better off somewhere else.
Lenny is alright, we have less issues than a lot of my friends who rent with Temple villas or MK. He doesn’t bother us but is ignoring our concerns about appliances,which are definitely on the road to dying and when i noticed a few roaches my concerns were pretty much ignored. there is also one cheap lock on the front door to the unit which, with our location makes me weary, i wish we had a deadbolt. upon move in the apartment was a wreck from the old tenants. no one had been by to clean it yet and it was only once we had all our stuff in did they come to paint the walls, which they just spot treated. they did offer to replace my carpets since there was a burn mark on it but again, everything had already been moved in and would have been more inconvenient. overall it’s not the worst experience but it could be better too.
Good luck with this guy. He will scream over you if you try and talk to him. Kept over 75% of the security deposit with no written explanation of charges. Finally sends a picture of damages that were not even my room. No respect for his tenants. Please do not get involved with him.
Lenny and Homeline Real Estate maybe the worst people to ever rent from. They do nothing for you. We were told we had a security system installed, then the battery died and it went off for 2 days. later found out we never had a working system at all. lenny is the cheapest man in the world and everyone who works for him is inept. He should be put in jail the way he treats his tenants.
When you call and it inconveniences him, he will berate you and tell you you're selfish. My father overheard one of these phone calls and he when picked up the phone to talk to Lenny, Lenny hung up on him. Lenny also hung up on my roommate's father when he called with concerns about our property. Lenny will swoon you into renting his apartment and show his true colors the moment he gets your first payment. Also, he never told us that we need to pay for our laundry with quarters until we moved in. I want my quarters back.
