I rented from John Gray at 423 Lincoln Place, Brooklyn, NY 11238 in 2020. He is the most terrifying landlord I have ever dealt with. He illegally evicted tenants. He would enter their apartments while they weren't there and put all of their furniture on the curb. When the police were called on him, he goes and hides on the roof of the building or locked in the basement so that they can't get to him and arrest him. He got in a physical fight with one of the tenants and they beat each other up. He later had that tenant arrested. I was unable to pay my rent due to being laid off during the coronavirus pandemic and even though I have rights to my apartment he said he would still evict me. In retaliation he turned the power off to only my unit in the building until I could pay him. He got in a fight with a neighbor's daughter and punched her in the face. He was convicted of ***** in NY court. Avoid this vermin at all costs. He is dangerous to women and your possessions will not be safe at if you rent from him.
