Upon moving out, we followed up to find out about our deposit. He responded saying that there were blinds broken and garbage in the back yard. Uhm we moved out on Sunday and Garbage day is Thursday. How were we to take garbage out? And Blinds? Seriously? Never got our deposit returned to us.
We had all sorts of issues with the apartment. We would contact him. We would have to text him numerous times before he got back and then was mean about it. Maybe respond after the first or second message and we wouldnt keep contacting you.
He would send a guy over. Not a professional who knew what he was doing. They would band aid the problem. A few months later, the same guy was back to put another band aid on the issue.
We were happy we did not renew our lease, and after a few months of looking we found a much better situation. Now if we have an issue, landlord sends reputable people from established business that specifically handle the type of issue.

There was a leak in the roof into the kitchen. Called landlord to tell him. He said he would come by after it rained. It rained for a 4 or 5 days straight before he came over. Leaked again a few months later. He sent someone to tar the roof (band aid fix).
The heat did not work on 5 separate occasions.
When we asked a question, he told us that was enough of us complaining, we had to go. Gave us 30 days to move or evict us. Instead of fighting it, filing a counter suit in Tenant Landlord court, and probably winning since he did not have to correct licenses for the entire term of the lease, except the first month. Moving was the easier option. Considering we did not want to worry about the heat again this coming winter.
Finally the water spout fell from the roof in April, I asked him to fix. It is August and we are moving. Never completed.
