Extremely unprofessional. Everybody blames somebody else. "Oh the landlord was supposed to... no the broker was responsible. .. it wasn't me, it wasn't us.... Try to end the lease and we'll sue you!!!" They rarely answer after you sign the lease but are always annoyed when you ask for things you were promised, Internet, maintenance, KEYS TO PROPERTY!
Rent campus has contact with a lot of owners in the area. If you are looking for a specific place they will help you narrow down what you are looking for and find you a place. You can ask them who the owner is and they will tell you. Laura is their leasing agent and she is very courteous and professional.
Our house had mold, a gas leak, roaches, mice, and no air conditioning or heat for a long time. The lease said cable would be provided and we were without it for 6 months due to Humberto not caring. The vents had cat urine in them, so when the heat did work - the house smelled like urine. Humberto was never in the country to respond. His assistant, Joanna, would lie and say she had someone coming for maintenance and they would never come. Humberto hired local high school students. with book bags, to fix our air conditioner. Humberto was the most unprofessional landlord I have ever met. When we told him how unsatisfied we were with out apartment, he dared us to take him to court.
I had a gas leak when I moved in, the vents throuout the house are completely filled with dust, dirt and animal hair. There are padlocks on all of my windows and we do not have keys i.e. fire hazard. The alarm system is included in the rent but when we moved in it was just a box on the wall; once it was fixed 4 months after the beginning of the lease, it doesn't even contact the police just rings. There were roaches and mice that caused 3 seperate pest control services. Cable and internet were included in the rent also, but they didn't actually set it up until 6 months into the lease. Landlord ignores phone calls and emails.
