This guy is part of the Boulder Creek Community and owns many condos in the Gold Run complex in Boulder. Please beware! He seems super nice and friendly, and you will think that you have lucked out to be getting such an amazing landlord, but I learned the hard way that this was not the case. He rented me a moldy apartment, and when I complained within the first 24 hours, and said that it was making me sick, he showed zero compassion and would not let me out of the lease, but instead simply emailed me a bunch of legal jargon and said I would have to pay rent even if I wasn't living there. Although I only stayed 2 nights, he kept all of my first and last month's rent that I had foolishly given him, which was a huge amount of money for me, and I ended up having to couch surf and live out of my car, since he had all of my savings and I couldn't afford a deposit for another place. Worst of all, I did a mold test to prove that the place had toxic mold, and when I told him I had proof, he went into the apartment when I wasn't there, and took the mold test, claiming later that he had mailed it off to have the results tested at a lab, although he told me he never got any results back. It was deceitful and malicious behavior. Also, we are talking about an older man in his 70s, who owns many properties in Boulder and in no way needed the money that he kept from me. This was the worst rental experience I have ever had, and I've been terrified of signing another lease since. Please stay away, and find a decent landlord!
