My experience with Dan Bernst...

My experience with Dan Bernstein was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, he carried himself with a level of professionalism, punctuality, and honesty that immediately put me at ease. Both of the places he showed me were wonderful, but I truly fell in love with the second apartment. Even with his busy schedule, he made it a priority to squeeze me in, walk me through every detail, and answer every question I had with patience and clarity.

What really stood out was how genuine he was. Dan didn’t just show me an apartment — he took the time to understand what I was looking for and made sure I felt confident in my decision. He never rushed me, never made me feel like a burden, and treated the entire process with care and respect. His communication was excellent, his energy was positive, and his dedication to helping me find the right home was obvious from start to finish.

It’s rare to come across someone in this industry who is not only knowledgeable, but also truly kind and invested in your experience. Dan exceeded every expectation. Thanks to him, the process was smooth, stress‑free, and honestly exciting. I’m incredibly grateful for his help, and I can’t wait to move in!

Save yourself before it's too late. I signed a lease with JBMP and they turned the management to greenzang. For the love of god, the ignorance this management does is on another level. Forget about fixing any issues, if your area is not safe be ready to face unasked and unknown people in your building.

No one is responsible for anything once this management takes over. Listing some issues below which were not fixed even after emailing for 3 months and following up once a week every week.

  1. Broken main door- Anyone can pay for parking. ( LOL paid parking so that someone could steal anything.)
  2. Broken windows, non working lights,
  3. Irritating noise for 24*7
  4. Major red flag- Fire alarm doesn't work.

Again save yourself!

The only good thing I have to say about ...
The only good thing I have to say about Greenzang is their capacity to market themselves. See my nightmare of a testimony below. Greenzang is the absolute worst management company I've EVER experienced. They took over management in the building I lived in and from then, it was nothing but trouble and grief for the remainder of the 10 months I lived there. Maintenance: First off, they do not maintain anything properly. I've heard from many neighbors that they've had trouble with mice. The trash is constantly piled up on the side of the building, and as they do renovations, they also had trash all over the woods, which is city property. The basement is kept under horrendous conditions. My last 2 months of living there, the ceiling above a washing machine was dangling down to the washing machine. If you used the machine, insulation would touch your body, which is hazardous. Not to mention, they carelessly stacked all the bicycles on top of one another, which resulted in my bicycle tire popping. Sketchy renovations: They immediately started renovating vacant units, and within a short amount of time, my neighbor across the hall's unit was broken into and robbed. This was shortly after she had work done in her unit, and the only items that were stolen were electronics that were out in the open as the workers were there. Also, there was no evidence of force of entry. Sounds like whomever robbed her had a key to me! Once I came home that day, my door had evidence of someone also attempting to break into my place. Please note, that I had a lock that was tricky, so they could have very well tried a key and thought it didn't work. Also note, that this was on the 3rd floor. It seemed very much like a destination plot, vs a robber checking who's door is unlocked to rob. After all that, we learned that the building's surveillance never worked to begin with. How convenient. Then there were constantly issues with the renovations being done in the building, by handymen, not professionals. One of which was performed in a unit 2 stories below mine. As I work from home, and rely on internet to do so, the workers not knowing what they were even cutting, cut the cord to my internet in the middle of my work day, which resulted in me losing 2 days of pay. Did Greenzang do anything to rectify this? Absolutely not. And of course, there was constant construction being performed before 8am, which violates city noise pollution standards. Not to mention a neighbor passed away (from unfortunate and natural causes), and they tried to get rent payments from the neighbor's grieving family, which is absolutely illegal. These people are absolute soulless crooks! I had no intention of moving out of my apartment any time soon, until they took over. I've seen the listing for my apartment, and laughed at how misrepresenting the description is. I'm happy to finally have them out of my life for good.

Where to start? On my official move in date my unit was unpainted, floors and stove ***** and food caked all over it. ROACHES IN EVERY CABINET AND CORNER in every room. There have been numerous important issues that maintenance hasn’t even addressed. You’re better off sleeping outside. Dogs left at home alone all day just bark and bark. It’s terrible.

Takes forever to fix maintenance problems. Super unprofessional. Always late or they never show up to fix something.

This has been a horrific experience for me. The walls are broken. The carpet so old that no vacuum cleaner can work. House is filled with rodents. I have to reach out to them almost every week to get some repairs done which ultimately never gets repaired. Their handyman comes rarely and does a shabby job and leaves a trail of mess around. You approach the manager to get it cleaned but they fall on deaf ears. They give the house in a shabby condition but when you leave they expect you have cleaned everything including their mess otherwise they cut security deposit heavily.

Generally a good apartment for a good price. We have hard wood floors, which are a bit worn but look quite nice. There are a couple of spots on the floor that have cat urine stains from the previous owners, but they have been finished again so that there is no residual smell. The paint job is a little sloppy. The tiles in the bathroom have been painted, which makes them look tacky, and the trim was not carefully done, so there are paint globs and overlaps. I am very happy with their level of maintenance. Our kitchen appliances were all replaced, and we were given great new ones. My favorite thing is that we have a full-sized fridge to replace the broken old one, which was not large at all. Generally it's a good place to live, in a nice area. I'm pretty happy with it!
