Awful Landlord, slow to respond, kept portion of security deposit for "damages" that were simply wear and tear.

She said that the dirt and grime on the caulk and grout around the tub was damage caused by us (the tenants). She replaced sheet rock and tile because of mold underneath, but that just shows that whoever originally sealed the tub did not do a great job. She knew we were moving out of state and could not afford to hire a lawyer to represent us in small claims court. Just a snake of a human being. There was also a huge leak in the ceiling during a rainstorm in 2018. I had to stay up all night to empty water buckets so that the floor did not get damaged and potentially leak down to apartments below ours. She did not acknowledge that I did her a service and refused to compensate me for my time as I was not "her employee". This was typical of her.
