Doug Furbee screwed me over

Doug Furbee is 100% a liar and a thief. He was my first landlord in January 2006, and he lied and stole my money. I moved in in January and there was radiated heat coming through the floor, a less popular but very nice heating system especially in cold areas. A few months later in the Spring, our basement apartment had moisture in the carpet, since the heat no longer ran. For a couple months we had wet, smelly carpet in the apartment. The problem with this is the fact that Doug Furbee made us pay to "get the carpet cleaned." The amount exceeded my $350 deposit as well as my roommate's, and Doug had the balls to ask for additional money on top of that. He threatened to sue me so I paid it. He is a very shady, unethical person and obciously a bad landlord. He was my first landlord and we maintained the house perfectly for the less than-6-months I was there. Thank you for screwing me over Doug. The world hates liars and thieves just like you! If you're not able to keep moisture out of your apartment, don't make the tenants pay year after year for the "upkeep" of your property you cannot properly care for.

Never Respected Privacy

My roommate walked out of her room , indisposed, thinking no one was home and found Doug in our hallway. He mentioned that if he walked into he house and it wasn't clean he would take pictures of our mess. Even though it was never that messy. If you rent with him you will never get your security deposit back. He finds a charge for everything.
