My fellow tenants and myself were then billed when we moved out for aspects that were unfair and borderline, at the least, dishonest. The landlord was then rigid and refused to refund this money without sufficient evidence of our points, which seems reasonable at first thought. This isn't the case, however, because the landlord only communicated with one of us in the apartment via phone calls or face-to-face communication when he was visiting another property. Therefore, the concerns we had were unable to be documented in that way. Unfortunately, I was very trusting and tolerated the living conditions due to a lack of other options and because the area of town was attractive, in terms of distance. I was naive and didn't document these infractions with pictures or videos, therefore we had little grounds to make legal action against the landlord.
