We lived in one of their brownstone walk-ups for my 2 years at Wharton and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to live in the Rittenhouse/Fitler Square areas. Building was in close proximity to great neighborhood restaurants, bars, shopping etc. and was an easy commute to Penn campus. We moved to west coast after graduation for work, but otherwise would have renewed lease.
I lived at 23rd and Lombard for over 3 years. I had a good experience with the management company. Whenever there was an issue, they came to fix it within 24 hours. The only gripe that I had was that the rent was higher than what I felt it was worth. Excellent location however very old appliances, and the insulation in the apartment was horrible. Expensive electric bills. I brought this to their attention and they came and put plastic over the windows. Which was fine, however they put the plastic on the outside of the window, not the inside. I couldn’t open the shades..... The plastic fell off months later and I had them comeback back and do it properly. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend them.
City Living Philly made our living experience in Philadelphia great. Any problems or issues we had in the apartment were fully dealt with in a timely manner and they were generally very friendly people. We had a great experience and would highly recommend them to others.
Super cool apartment and very accommodating landlords. The unit was still being built when we moved in and we were provided extremely fair compensation. Tom responds to tenant requests quickly and made our rental experience and easy one. Would definitely continue with City Living if we were still renting.
Tom Hallinan, of City Living Philly, was a fantastic landlord. He was always available to discuss even the most minor issues, and fixed things promptly and without any charges. He was flexible when we wanted to extend our lease and helped facilitate a short-term sublet during our lease. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I had a very positive experience with City living! I lived in 2 different apartments with the company for about 10 years. The prices are good for Rittenhouse living:) an exterminator came out monthly although never had any problems! Tom from City Living is such a nice guy! He always answered my emails right away. He was quick to respond and send someone to fix any issue I had which was wonderful! I asked many questions when I was moving and he answered all of them for me and helped the move out process easy. I would highly recommend City Living for anyone looking to live in Rittenhouse!
Overall a great experience. They do pest prevention monthly, have a responsive maintenance team, and have always been friendly and professional. My roommate and I both reached out to see if we might be able to move into another of their apartments once we were moving out (we both are just relocating for work). I always recommend them.
We had an excellent time in this apartment and are only leaving because we are relocating to another city. the price is a steal for the neighborhood, and the apartment has served us well. management was very prompt with responding to maintenance requests and almost always had someone there for repairs within one business day. neighbors in the same building are friendly and usually quiet. i have nothing bad to say about this rental experience and wouldn't hesitate to rent again.
Wonderfully maintained building in Rittenhouse Square. Great location! (everything was within walking distance). Property management was great with fixing any issues promptly after they were reported. We would still be renting if we didn't have to move to DC for work.
I loved my experience with City Living. I lived in the same apartment for 8.5 years. For any issue that arose, City Living was very responsive and quickly took care of the problem. It was my first time having a landlord, and I really can't imagine having a better situation than I did with City Living. If I were staying in the city, I would have looked to them first for finding a new apartment.
I lived in one of their rentals for two years. It was little overpriced for the product provided, but I was only in town for one weekend looking for a place to stay for my two years of grad school and they were the best option I found in my time looking. They were responsive landlords and my overall experience was positive. However, they are very strict about minor lease terms and very strict with rent payment timeliness. I also felt that I left the apartment in great condition and they seemed to disagree, taking from my security deposit where I did not feel justified.
I'm a former employee of city living philly aka liberty bell management! Natiale "Ludwig"abovitz is a fucking joke , she lies to tenants over charges them for "Damages" that weren't there! She also says that the tenants on " section 8 or subsidized housing " shouldn't care they aren't paying for it , they need to shut up and get a job" she is disrespectful, demeaning and nasty women ! She will be the first to tell you she has a law degree ! But she's in property management ....hmmm she also talks negatively about the owner Allen Borovich ! Calling him a a moron , that he doesn't know what he's doing and how she does everything , which is the furthest from the truth, she sits in her office paints her nails shops online, Slacks ( internal instant messaging service ) other co workers to gossip about people in the office ! She is racist, she catches her self about to say the n-word! She calls tenant trash , she has no type of demeanor! She doesn't conduct business professionally! Don't ever rent from ; City Living Philly liberty bell management City block 1-10 Aimes Those are all the company under her control ! If you currently living at one of there many properties make sure to read your lease call about everything document it yourself! Because they enjoy going to court mostly because they know most of there tenants won't put up a battle because of the cost ! Allen Borovich cell # +1 (215) 460-6442 Call him directly ! He is snow blowed but that nasty excuse of a human being! It sounds dramatic but ask any former / current employee they will tell you what I'm saying is true ! I'm not bitter about anything but I think the public should know who your renting from!
Natalie Ludwig will be nice up until the ridiculously lengthy lease is signed and the check is in her hand. After that, she will be nasty and try to get any money out of you that she can, and avoid responsibility for anything she can. She avoided paying for move-in cleaning, locked me out of my roof without notice or change in rent, wouldn’t pay for damages caused by leaky ceiling, ceiling took months to fix, and she took $250 out of my deposit to clean the apartment for a non-existent child with a dog allergy after a dog visited my apartment because it was in the lease. I have lived with many different landlords, and she was by far the worst. I never had a single problem with any of the others and she made me feel terrible every time I interacted with her. Even if you like the property, you will be able to find something better with a landlord who treats you like a human being, not a dollar sign she wants nothing else to do with. Terrible. Just terrible.
I was moving out at the end of my lease but my roommate was not so she refused to accept the last month's rent that I had paid when we moved in and demanded an additional month. She also refused to give me my security deposit and pet deposit because. It was just an impossible, miserable situation that could have been avoided all together. Save yourself the troubles and rent anywhere else but with City Living Philly!!
The apartment location was nice - and it was actually in the same building as the City Living management office - but the people could not have been less friendly or less cooperative. I cannot strongly advise against renting from these people enough!!
