Avoid renting from this guy

Renter beware. Roommates and I had to sue him to get our security deposits back. The house was fine, he just refused to return our calls or texts. He even tried to settle. He's rude, unprofessional, and hardly responsive to any requests. I'd avoid him at all costs, or at least negotiate lease terms that ensure he follows the rules.

DO NOT Rent from Christian Del Collo

Christian Del Collo rented his property through Rent Campus Online. The house was vacant the year before we moved in, and we were promised multiple renovations that were stated in the lease. Upon move in, several of the items had still not been completed. It's our own fault for never pursuing legal action. Multiple circuits were broken and were never fixed despite multiple request. We went the entire year without working lights in the second floor hallway. All of the carpets in the rooms were promised to be cleaned or replaced, as stated in the lease. Upon move in, every single carpet was dirty with an excessive amount of staining and debris. Only two of the six sets of keys worked upon move in, and we were told that it was our problem that had to pay for and figure out. The refrigerator leaked upon move in, and did not work either, and took about a month to be replaced. During a heat wave in the summer, 90+ degrees everyday, our air conditioner broke and Christian continuously lied to us telling us that someone had been out to fix it when a contractor never came. It took about 10 days for the air conditioner to be fixed. He regularly scheduled showings without giving us any notice, and threatened to pursue legal action against us for not being available to answer the door. He also declined to answer our requests about our security deposit upon move out, even though there was no significant damage to the house outside of normal wear and tear.
