On my second year of living in Begum's apartment on Carlisle Street right off Temple University's campus. She has been a great landlord over the course of me and my roommates' time living there. The apartment is in great shape and is very close to campus. Rent was very fair and Begum has always been prompt when responding to any issues or maintenance requests. Would definitely rent from her again and would recommend to anyone considering renting from her.

The apartment that I lived is really close to the campus and it is right behind the White Hall which is the official dorm of Temple University. The neighbors are all temple students and the street seems safety because it is one block away from Broad St. And apartment managed in a good condition by landlord. Additionally, Begum always tried to fix the problems of apartment very quickly as long as I tell her. She noticed everything that we have to know). Also, I am the one who really scared of bugs or insects but there was no bugs but little house bugs (because it is near city) that I could handle it. Finally I fairly got all my deposit, there was no doubt. We are still contacting with Begum for future leasing and I feel lucky to meet her during a year!

Begum tried to charge more for water, probably because of the leaky shower she never fixed, and definitely not worth it without our own washer and dishwasher. It was not included in the lease that we needed to pay for installation of our air conditioning units in the spring. We were charged for installing them ourselves. I did have a cat for a week and I willingly paid my fine. I then had an additional $350 taken from my security deposit for an "exterminator." Only later did I realize that I was made to pay for the extermination of the roaches we dealt with all year. I was also charged for painting; the roof leaked and flooded my bedroom, staining the walls ruining my mattress. Overall, Begum was just another greedy landlord and I was happy to forfeit my entire security deposit (on things that were damaged since move in) and leave.
