Mr. Healy was a very nice and casual landlord until I gave him 30 days notice that I was moving out. I even helped him find a rentor, so his place would not stay vacant after I left. However, from the moment I said I was moving out, he worked non-stop to find everything wrong with the townhouse, and even claimed I had "breached" the rental contract, in order to justify him keeping 100% of the deposit. I had replaced a broken refrigerator with my own money. He seemed very practiced at this, and I am guessing he has done this many times before. Rent from him at your own risk, and if you do, just accept up front that you will not be getting any of your deposit back.
