Allright get ready for a long one. Whats wrong with this place? Whats wrong with the landlord? Here we go. If you look at the place online it looks great. When you go to the place it does not look like that. Thoses must be old pictures. The walls are slathered in paint. So much that it chips off and is constantly falling off. The doors do not shut you have to use something to keep them latched. The downstairs bathroom toliet never worked while i was there. In the middle of our stay the landlord had a plumber come and fix it. The plumber actually told us that it was installed wrong and thats why the toliet doesnt flush and there was water leaking all in the basement. The basement. Always wet with water. Nasty moldy smell. Which when we looked at the place it had no smell or water on the ground. The bathroom upstairs had no latch on the door so we had to keep a sheet on it if we wanted privacy. The toliet upstairs was always running plus the water leak in the basement lead to a $400 water bill in a month. And the bathroom was set by the stairs so when walking up the stairs the bathtub was actually above you. The entire time we lived there the bathtub was leaking through the wall to where the stair case was getting wet. The ceiling in the staircase and hall were crumbling beneath the tub and you had to stand near the back of the tub for the ceiling not to ***** more. When we further investigated the ceiling in the hall above the stairs we found black mold in the dry wall. Contacted the landlord she never did anything about it. There was holes in walls everywhere that when we filled out our move in sheet and the maintenance man gave us the keys said he was going to fix everything we needed. He never came back to fix any of it. He came out one time to look at the bathtub problem did two things to it claimed it was fixed and actually made the leak worse. The maintenance man didnt really know much for a maintenance man... on top of all that, the neighborhood. Once moved in we realized theres a ***** house down the street, the neighbor behind us had a kinda shared driveway with us and said we could use the space since he owned no car. Then a month in he had his son come and park in the driveway so we could not get in or out. Wouldnt answer the door either. The worst neighbors by far was the lady next door in the townhouse. Its one building but two separate houses. Always screaming. Loud at all hours even with 3 young kids. We could always hear her hitting her kids through the walls. Then her boyfriend was the worst my brother in law had hip replacement surgery and 3 days after he was outside and asked the neighbor to please keep the kids away from the house as they like to take things off of our porch and littered in our lawn so our lawn always had candy/other wrappers in it. The boyfriend got mad and started cussing my brother out. My brother got up to leave and the guy goes over and onto our porch pulls my brother down off the stairs and assulted him. My brother got away barley called the cops did a report. Guess what the landlord is friends with the tenants so she took their side of the story. They lied to the cops and lied to the landlord... the landlord also has a lease that states that you can have pets. There is no weight limit set or breed restrictions or even type of pet restrictions on the lease. It even provides space for you to write your pets info in and take it to the office. Note we didnt have animals when moved in and when i asked about animals was told just bring the filled out form to the office. When we finally got a dog i took the papers into the office and the landlord told me we are not allowed to have pitbulls get rid of them. We refused as the lease doesnt say anything about not allowing them.. she asked us to leave and we did for a much better landlord and a much better place. Cheaper too. Even though there both 3 bedroom houses equal in size i am getting charged $600 a month where in 3318 the landlord charges $750.
