I must say, great job to 19J’s social media team for focusing on creating dubious reviews rather than servicing existing tenants. I lived at 19J for the most part of 2020 and 2021 and was one of the first few residents to move into the building. 1. Parking: When I first moved in, the parking garage on level 2 of the building was very vacant. I was asked to park outdoors, right downstairs of the building, where my car was looted the 1st time. A few months later, I was told by the management to move my car 2 blocks down to another parking lot, where my car was looted for the 2 more times. In my 2 years here, I have been robbed 3 times in total. When reflected to the management, they were unapologetic and offered no solution. They charged me $250 A MONTH for that amazing parking lot! 2. Rude Management: There is a lady sitting downstairs but let me just say: she is useless. Anything you ask, she will tell you she doesn’t know, and to email the management. Management will reply in a rude and unprofessional tone. Shoutout to Michael from the 19J team. 3. Water: When I first moved in, I noticed the tap water to be grey. I reflected this to the management because I didn’t want my neighbors to be drinking ***** water. I went through the 19J tenant app and informed them of this issue, but without ever reaching back out to me, they closed the ticket as if nothing happened. 4. Amenities: We paid for amenities like gym and rooftop access. You see the beautiful rooftop pics from the fake reviews? We couldn’t even go up because they locked it up. Some tenants might have misbehaved up there but management should act like grown ups and not punish other tenants by restricting amenities to EVERYONE. Gym was also closed for almost a year. 5. Laundry: To share 20 machines with the entire building. Use smelly and ***** machines that mostly smell moldy or like an animal died in there. Do not recommend. Some of my laundry came back smellier than when it was brought to be washed. 6. Moving Out Fees: They withheld as much of the deposit as they pleased, twisting facts and basically not playing fair. My advice? Keep all correspondences and promises with building staff in writing! And do NOT expect them to return you your FULL security deposit! They will instead twist their words and make it sound like they did YOU a favor by returning a portion of it. 19J tried to portray itself to be a very dynamic, high tech building with great concierge and customer service. This turned out to be furthest from the truth. Within those exteriors lies college dorm rooms with ZERO service. It’s almost a joke what they promise VS how they struggle to keep up. Overpromised and underdelivered. Will not recommend this to anyone and regret my time here. You are better off paying mortgage than paying 2000 a month on a pigeon hole. 19j Midtown was such a cool place and it was really pretty!

This apartment building has to be the BEST in all of greater Sacramento.
