I don't agree with how he moves sometime. He won't come fix nothing hisself. He just send the electrican n plumber and he won't meet nobody there for us. He says we gotta set with th plumber this week. It's whatevr but like even with the cable. We had to wait for cable box and I had to miss work. It wasn't include. He's good an bad bc things get fixed but we gotta be there for let in the plubmer because the toilet runs at night. Plumbrer cool though.

Its a nice place but too expnsve and n, philly near temple my school is not a good area. He added nice remote Air in the bedrooms but then increased the price for renwew the lease and wouldn't keep same price if we plan to stay so I said no. I was fin with window units. I didn't need new countertops that was my gf and now he wants more money. I mnean everything okay but N. Pilly aint and it's not worth the money. I can go to Upper Darby and pay half this and just take the train to school.

I don't lik him or dislike him. I never met him. I just txt and he sends people to fix things. In the pictures and at first it looks lk brand new but you you realize it was an old building and just has new floors kitchen and bathroom. It was a month for th new dishwasher when it broke but he showed the recit and did order it right away.

We didn't renew the lease bc our son started school and we didn't want to live in the Temple area school district. Honestly, we left garbage and furniture and he returned 80 percent of the deposit. It was fair because we left a heavy couch. The neighbors weren't great (airbnb) but Ron treated us with respect, and gave me a PT job. He never showed up at our place. We scheduled the plumber appointment with his guy and Ron paid him. Apartment basement had some long leg spiders.

Ron has properties near Temple University. He replaced our appliances with new stainless ones when the others broke. He never showed up unannounced and he replies to text messages almost immediately. I doubt these other reviews are real tenants because they mention things about his recording studio and technology company which don't seem related. He is definitely not a slumlord. He's a liberal college professor who doesn't bother us. He gave us phone numbers to emergency repairmen.

What can I say. Ran Mears of North Philly is a terrible landlord. When a problem arises, he fails to fix it. He takes no action when there's serious pest issues. His properties are falling apart. He comes unannounced and demands entry. He would not dare live in the conditions he subjects his tenants to. Do not rent from Ronald Mears of Philadelphia, you will regret it!

Ron Mears is a terrible landlord. From the day I moved in there have been issues with roaches, plumbing and electrical problems, broken appliances and shoddy workmanship, Every bit of work that was done on the property was shoddy, as such everything is falling apart. Sinks leak, toilets constantly run, cockroaches run rampant. He is never there when you need him to fix a leak or electrical issue. Shows up out of the blue and demands access to property, but not to fix reported issues. Forces his tenants to move out so he can set up illegal air bnb's. This guy is a total piece of garbage. Apparently he runs a couple of other shady business is Philadelphia. He runs Mears Media as well as Fanbase. If Ron runs his other business in a similar fashion as to how he conducts his slumlord activities, I feel sorry for anyone he does business with. He is a scammer. Also, he can even man up and look his tenets in their eyes or take their calls as he screws them over.

Ronald Mears is a piece of s*** slumlord. The work that is done on his buildings is substandard. He doesn't fix any issues that are broken with his properties. He doesn't care about his tenants safety or comfort. Do not rent from this guy.
