Ensuring Greater Access to Safe and Stable Housing

We want to take a moment to speak candidly with you about the tragedy that is enveloping our country right now — the Surfside building collapse and recovery effort. We know no words will do justice to the individual experiences of those impacted over the last couple of weeks. All of us at WYL feel the weight of our responsibility to the community and our hearts go out to those impacted by this tragic event.

In the near term, we may soon uncover the extensive list of things that could have been done differently by the developer, the town, the condo board. But what is most certain, is that this incident has sparked a nationwide conversation about the safety and stability of homes and housing at large and the responsibility of owners to communicate transparently. As a company focused on bettering the housing experiences of residents, the safety of our community is always an inextricable concern.

Safe and stable housing is a fundamental pillar at WYL and we will continue to communicate this to our community of residents and home providers. This is a call to action for each and every one of us to do better, to speak up, hold ourselves accountable, and be part of the solution.
